.Mac Account

topic posted Thu, November 2, 2006 - 8:18 AM by  Boyelektric
So I host my own personal website and have for the last few years. Not a lot on it just some personal info and pix and such. I'm currently using Omnis.com to host my site but was thinking of changing to a .Mac account. I was wondering if anyone already had one ? what your experience with them was and whether or not you think I should switch ?

Any information is both helpful and appreciated.

Thanks,
S

I like .mac for the non website stuff like having book marks and addreses available on any computer in the world. The cost though is high for the storage space you get. If you have a domain name like www.whatever.com then you have to have it forwarded to the .mac address. I dont think you can use php sql. If you just have a site that can be duplicated in iWeb/rapidweaver then you might want to go the route of it the ability to upload photos and blogging is cake.
